E1 - VALLE SALIENT-PASSO TRUPCHUN m 2.782
Crossing a beautiful conifer forest before climbing the Salient valley with its abundance
of wild flowers. From the Trupchun Pass to the borders of the Swiss National Park
,chamois, steinbecks, deer and marmots can be seen along with a wonderful view
of the 4000m of the Ortles-Cevedale and Piazzi group.

E2 - VALLE E CIMA FOPEL m 2.928
This walk takes you to the heart of the Stelvio National Park where the wild animals
reign and the views of the lake are fascinating. Dep. from the Ristoro Pomin half way down
the lake. Ret. about to PonteViera.

E3 - PUNTA CASSANA m 3.007
The walk begins in a larch forest then the path opens out on to a multi-coloured flowered
pasture. As you climb slowly up you can see the peaks of the Ortles-Cevedale group to the
east and the 4050m of the Bernina to the South west. Marmots, chamois, steinbocks
and eagles can be seen.

E4 - PASSO LA STRETTA-BREVA m 2.882
This was once the trail for those wanting to go to the Alta Engadina. From here to the
Breva you will see chamois, steinbecks and marmots, and from there you descend
to Lago del Monte (Mountain Lake) with the Bernina and its eternal glaciers well in
view. The walk comes to an end after passing through the pine forests.

E5 - VALLE VIERA - CANTONE - BOCHETA DAL CANTON m

The track leads into a beautiful larch and pine forest and you soon come across a sulphur
spring. the Cantone valley is entirely within the National Park, steinbecks and chamois
are frequently seen and the whistling of the marmots marks your arrival at the Gras
del Cantone where the eagle reigns. The flora is varied.The Bernina glaciers can be seen
from the Bocchetta del Cantone and the final descent is down the Salient valley.

E6 - MONTE VAGO m 3.059
Beginning this walk in the OrseraValley you ascend to face the Piz Palù and Bernina
glaciers, then up onto the plateau and Lake Vago before finally climbing up to the peak at
3059m. The panorama spans out over the whole of the Livigno valley, Pizzo
Paradisino, Corno di Campo with the background being dominated by the Ortles group.
Wildlife is in abundance.

E7 - VALLE E GHIACCIAIO DI CAMPO E DEL PARADISINO m

The Nera valley glacier is in sight as you climb up to Alpe Vago accompanied by the sound
of marmots, the flowering gentians, primulas, rhododendrons and the pretty Campo
waterfall. The Campo valley is full of chamois, steinbecks, partridges and eagles and you
pass the two Valletta lakes before moving on towards the Campo and Paradisino glaciers
which go up to 3000m. This walk takes you into the heart of some of the highest peaks in
Livigno valley and gives you a splendid views of the Bernina group (4050m).

E8 - VALLE BOCCHETTA DI VAL NERA m 2.965 - VALLE DELLE MINE
Surrounded by flowering rhododendrons, primulas and yellow violets you climb up to Alpe
Vago with the Val Nera glacier in sight. Then, after crossing a larch and pine forest you
come to the Rin da Campo waterfall, on and up to the treeline where the Val Nera glacier
looms up in front of you. At the Val Nera Pass, the view is of the Bernina, the Zembrasca,
Filone, the icy descent to the Valle delle Mine and slightly below you a glacial lake.You
descend the Valle delle Mine accompanied by the squawk of eagles and the sight of
the chamois scampering off. Its possible to taste local products in the small
holding.

Walking in the
high Mountains with a guide. It is necessary to wear walking boots (you can hire them) and
clothing suitable for the mountains with a Kagool and sunglasses, also a camera,
binocoles and or a videocamera to film the flora and fauna and the scenery. Groups of over 25 people must book at least 2 days before. Bring a Packed lunch.Leaving at 08.00 - Returning 17.00 c.a. |
